Just discovered Party Down on Hulu. I'm not sure if the gay joke in this scene is really that offensive or not; it just sounds like a "Major Injury Underreaction" joke that just happens to star two gay people that would probably still work if it was a girlfriend who got in the ferris wheel and not a boyfriend.
The coming out at the end is still hilarious, even more so than the joke in the middle.

What do you know: Terry Farrell (Jadzia Dax from DS9) Married Adam Nimoy son of Leonard on his (Leonard's) birthday.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
