teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Yup. Getting one. May have to build a house around it, but I no longer want to live without this chair in my life:

Gwaithmir - that chair I posted should be atop Amon Hen, amiright?

Don't forget, it was probably at Aglarond where they fabricated the new gates of Minas Tirith after the War of the Ring. I was thinking of the Gimli's song about Durin in Moria: 'A king he was on carven throne...'. While wood can be carved, metal general isn't, and Dwarves do have a special reverence for stone. I agree about the Gates, though. The only other places east of the Misty Mountains where they could have been made would have been at Erebor or the Iron Hills, both of which were impractically far off. Boru
