By giving the kid access to the safe the father negates any right to protection from liability by way of the exemption.....

But the gun was stolen from a locked safe. Who had the combination ( or how they got it) seems immaterial.

Yes, and I agree. When the hell is America going to face the fact placing blame on the buyer all the time will not change ease of access.

It's not ease of access (as least not primarily). We've been over this.

Agreed - I can walk upstairs right now and pick up a pistol or a shotgun. I don't want to.

For these things to happen there has to be intent as well as access.

Exactly. If access were the issue, then the outcome of owning a gun would lead, more or less directly, to shooting someone. It doesn’t, so it isn’t.

Now let’s all take a few minutes for 37 to completely misunderstand that statement.

But volume makes access easy doesn't it? I don't think it is wise to assume that everyone whom wants to own a dangerous object will automatically go their entire life using it wisely.

Ultimately it is about a flooded market, and ease of access. In a perfect world I would agree with you. But the truth is firearms are too easy to get in a flooded market, and they are handed out like candy.

Are you a parrot? You seem to have a pretty limited number of responses to just about everything.

If guns were the cure for humanity, or for life for that matter, then why is the universe and even life on this planet older than firearms?
