teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

CHRIST THE KILLER.....

Don't do drugs.
"For the only way to eternal glory is a life lived in service of our Lord, FSM; Verily it is FSM who is the perfect being the name higher than all names, king of all kings and will bestow upon us all, one day, The great reclaiming" -The Prophet Boiardi-
Conservative trigger warning.
I really don't understand Catholics who have the need to tell atheists to take Jesus seriously. Why don't they go and tell their clergy to take Jesus seriously? Go to the Vatican and tell them to sell their treasures and feed the poor with that money. Because this way they are mocking Jesus way more than atheists.

When I was growing up, I would sometimes watch NFL football with my late father, but, watched it mostly by myself after my parents' divorce. From the 80s, I vividly remember all the games with the giant John 3:16 banners, and how the TV director would do his/her best to exclude camera shots of those. In some cases, it was unavoidable, such as when the individuals had setup shop in an endzone and a game-deciding field goal had to be made.
I have vowed, before I die, to come to some NFL game with the following banner: Quote:And when his family heard it, they went out to seize him, for people were saying, “He is beside himself.” Mark 3:21, RSV The passage is early, and likely authentic, as the authors of Matthew and Luke, when they plagiarized Mark, omitted it. Yeah, but he didn’t give us the power he allegedly has, which makes his alledged “wouldn’t do to himself what he did to himself” a bit of farce, don’t you think? Give us the power to condemn him into a hell of our making when he fails to live up to our expectations, as he alledgedly had done to us, and we will talk.
Nothing to see here...just another shit and run.
Just so that everyone knows (it's in Wikipedia, of course), The Vortex is run by Michael Voris, a far right, nutty traditional Catholic. I didn't watch the video, and I don't have to; it's economics. Voris wants money, and when he makes these "shock" videos, his followers send him donations. Christmas is the biggest money-making time of the year for Christian religion, as with any other retailer.
Too bad that there are no returns or after-Christmas markdowns! (December 23, 2021 at 11:43 am)ronedee Wrote: The simple message: God would not do something to us, He wouldn't do to Himself; Death. It's a shit and run. I don't know where you think the line is for an active poster but when you average around 100 posts a year you are more dormant than active.
