The United Nations held a vote on a resolution condemning Nazism.

"Combating glorification of Nazism, neo-Nazism and other practices that contribute to fuelling contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance."

It passed, with only two countries voting against.

The US and Ukraine.

Indeed considering there are other pipelines. This claim is simply absurd... Dodgy
More than absurd

2021:
Percentage of total energy consumed in Germany, provided by gas: 27%
2022 (now):
Percentage of russian gas relative to total gas imports: 9%

--> 2,5% of total energy in Germany covered by russian gas. Yep, german industrial capacity totally wiped out. We will be freezing in the winter, all lights out. Dogs and cats living together. Armageddon.

Actually, four countries formally voted against, with fifty three abstentions and six members not voting. Abstentions and non-votes are de facto ‘nays’, which tells me that this resolution was so problematic (and I confess that I have not read it) that nearly a third of UN member states couldn’t support it.

It looks as though the bridge terrorists got what they wanted, as the violence has escalated now. Russia is bombing Kiev.

Cheering on terrorism brings the world closer to nuclear annihilation.

edited to add: Now Ukraine is promising to retaliate against the Russian retaliation. Here we go.

Since when does a professional military force attacking a legitimate military target count as ‘terrorism’?

All I know is what's on the page.

Why do you suppose anyone would vote against it? If abstaining is an option for being non-committal, why go on record as being anti-anti-Nazi?

Anyway, Belarus says Ukraine is preparing to attack, and says it will form an alliance with Russia.

This is how big wars get started.
