Even worse than that tripe is the fact that it was the Nazi-Soviet pact that made the German invasion of Poland possible.

“It is time to expose them and send a clear signal to the treacherous Albion and its elites: you will not succeed,” the SVR intelligence agency warned, adding that Britain was also to blame for starting the Second World War.

It said British authorities were acting to “undermine Donald Trump’s peacekeeping efforts” and the growing rapprochement between Russia and the US.

Earlier today, Russia expelled two people connected to Britain’s embassy in Moscow, accusing them of engaging in “counter-intelligence work” and harming Russian security.

Sure, Britain was a warmonger, supporting Poland, which, according to Nazi Germany had no right to exist. Much like Britain is a warmonger now, supporting Ukraine, which, according to Russia, has to right to exist.
This should not be surprising. Russia finds itself in the same role as Nazi Germany* in the 30s: Emerging after a crisis, trying to pick up the pieces of an empire that once was. With imperialist ambitions and visions of grandeur, firmly looking into the past.

* ironically its arch-enemy, thats why Russia needs to bend itself like a pretzel when arguing like this.

Its possibly a US-Russia pact that will make its invasion of Ukraine successful.

While history does not always repeat, it certainly rhymes.

That wasn't lost on me when Trump and Vance ganged up on Zelenskyy.

The exageration of their achievements, belittling of potential opponents, the incompetence of their war against language.
More than a few parallels with Goebbels...
