Pretty much. I know that I don't own anything I'd take a bullet or give a bullet for, personally. Even in the ridiulous goldilocks situation where you might have a good kill - I'd have to pack my kids and move. They can't come up playing on the floor they saw a man bleed out on. I love my guns, got a ton of em - but I think the whole defense angle isn't just a bad argument for gun ownership... it's a good argument for denying a person a rifle.

I think we do have to decide between castle doctrine ideologies that lead to arguments for gun ownership as self defense, and no knock warrants. If we choose castle doctrine, we're telling cops that if they execute a no knock warrant they themselves can be executed like any random black kid snooping around a mailbox...and if we say nah, we're gonna go with no knock warrants, the implication there is that your gun ownership is likely to get you killed by the authorities.
Seems a bit infringey, doesn't it?

There should be severe penalties against LE when they apply for a no knock.warrant and shit goes sideways.
Like the death penalty - no knocks should be infrequent and require good evidence for it' s need....

For further clarification, what I usually indict is gun culture. People owning guns isn’t the issue. Gun rights aren’t the issue. Gun control laws aren’t the issue. How people think about guns is.
