What do you think Anne Frank was referring to when she said "in spite of it all"?

It's not what she meant at the heart of my point --nor whether she's right or wrong (I happen to think it's the latter). It's the reasons for you picking her to quote, of all people. It's transparently for rhetorical purpose. You should just own it instead of falling back on your usual sophistry.

Btw, to all the people attempting to justify the death of innocent civilian especially women and children are no different than Kanye.

Nazis. She was referring to Nazis. A semantically equivalent statement would be, ‘Nazis aside, people have good hearts.’ 

If she was alive today, she might phrase it, ‘People who say out loud that Kanye West is a hate-filled mentally disturbed fucktard renew my belief that most people are basically good.’

Last night, he was comparing the actions of Truman to the actions of Hitler.  Now, he's comparing the words of Kanye to the actions of Truman, while muddying the field with a rhetorical artifice, "same energy."  Just another dishonest preacher.

Right, and I was pointing that out: you chose a Jewish girl who died at the hands of the Nazis precisely for rhetorical reasons.

I wonder what she'd think now. I think she'd agree with me that she was wrong when she wrote that. Age and experience has a way of teaching you that.

By the way, the entire quote, for those interested in the context of it, reads:

In spite of everything I still believe that people are really good at heart. I simply can’t build up my hopes on a foundation consisting of confusion, misery, and death. I see the world gradually being turned into a wilderness, I hear the ever approaching thunder, which will destroy us too, I can feel the sufferings of millions and yet, if I look up into the heavens, I think that it will all come right, that this cruelty too will end, and that peace and tranquility will return again.

So it appears that she thinks humans are good at heart because her god will return peace and tranquility to Earth, for her own personal reasons ("I simply can’t build up my hopes on a foundation consisting of confusion, misery, and death").

Also, I'm having a little chuckle at the idea of a Christian, who believes we are all fallen, defending Kanye when he claims that all people have goodness in them.

Clearly you don't understand what I'm getting at...

You state Kanye is a piece of shit for his OPINION, yet you haven't at any point referred to Truman as a piece of shit, and Truman is the only one responsible for innocent deaths. 

Last I checked, Kanye wasn't trying to justify why innocent people deserve to die, but YOU and a few others were.

So if Kanye is a piece of shit, that makes you a bigger one.
