You're too nice, AWTY. I'd use concertina wire. And I'm liking "Melon Husk". That's going to be my go-to from now on. I hate to see Elmo from Sesame Street abused. #SoftSpot

And the gender gap is trending for her too. Hopefully we can put an end to his bullying and hate Tuesday night. If you want to trace back all the hate rhetoric, you can start with Rupert Murdoch and Fox News about 20 years ago when they gutted the network of any balance, like when they ditched Colmes out of Hannity and Colmes and became a right wing hate machine. But as far as Trump, I would bet my life he decided he would eventually run after Obama made fun of him to his face in 2011 at the press conference dinner. So Trump tore off the silent mask at that point and the hatemongers increasingly became emboldened. The hate never goes away that part is true. But at least a defeat, especially if the gap is wide, and Kamala wins, at least he will be out of the picture.
If and when he's defeated, at least any remaining prosecutions can happen. Hate was always here, it's just taken different forms. Media and the Internet have enabled them to be amplified, and some of what were fringe white power talking points back then are believed by tens of millions. There was plenty of hate to go around in the 70s and 80s and before.
It's in the interest of the powers that be to keep us at each other's throats and fearful for our jobs and futures - seemingly always has been.
Trump has allowed the quiet things to be said out loud. He didn't create the hate...he just gave it a platform.
Why, oh why, can't that sorry sack of protoplasm just choke on a Big Mac? I'd truly be interested in knowing on how many of his worshippers can actually afford McDonald's "food". #DuelingBanjos

These Trumpeteers aren't going anywhere. And the empowerment he's given them will mean that it's an ongoing affair. These guys aren't going anywhere. This strain of racist populism crops up regularly in American history. RE: 2024 US Presidential Election

The trouble is that Murdoch had discovered an excellent business model. You make more money by feeding the hate and fear of your viewers than by offering anything like balance. So then MSNBC and, to a lesser extent, CNN and other stations adopted the same business model, but aimed at a different demographic. And neither side feels any duty to tell the truth at all. So now we're at the point where reality appears different depending on what media you watch. Pro-Harris people can't even imagine how a sane person could support Trump, because their media invariably say there is no reason -- other than racism or misogyny. The idea that sane thinking people could respectfully disagree is no longer possible. RE: 2024 US Presidential Election

What's this nonsense about people respectfully disagreeing? Trumps white identity party isn't having any of that libtard shit. If you can't separate kids from their parents at the border..what's the point of even having one?

Somehow it's only anti-Trumpers who are irrational; Trumpatistas are very happy to engage in Socratic dialogue. Trump left sanity long ago, yet you don't complain about that. No problem with immigrants eating pets or "enemies within". Just griping when racism and sexism gets called out. |
