This is factually incorrect, in America.

And, worth noting, even with the domestic terrorists on our side, guess how many people they've killed since I was born? One. No, you did not misread that; in the past 35 years, you could count the number of people that left-wing domestic terrorists have killed ON ONE FINGER. And to think that there are loads of right-wing terrorists laughing at such a low score.

I understand there are lulls; hence the reason I mentioned that was the peak of a 3 year surge; i.e. a period of time in which average immigrants encountered at the border are significantly above the expected numbers you would see - peaks and lulls included.

Even if it isn't, by your own metric of peaks and lulls that is still at least a million individuals *encountered* and to call it amongst the most tightly guarded borders in history is to directly contradict the opinions of our trained law enforcement who actively deal with the situation every day.

It's a statement of fact.  Perhaps...rather than question a demonstrable fact, you should wonder why the border we've puckered up tighter than a frogs asshole still gives us the illegal numbers that make us so anxious?  OFC..if we did that, we'd realize...wait for it....they come by plane, and overstay their work visas.  

Being pedantic over the phrase "open border" is strange and I was going to let that one slide. The border is open in the non-political sense of the word and rather in the more colloquial transitive state; as if you were using the word "open" to describe a goal on the ice when the goalie has been knocked aside.  

The border is in no sense open.  

Some are, and they should be allowed to come here legally and through an improved system.

Domestic terrorists primarily come from the left, and thankfully their party has just been removed from party in at least 2 of the 3 branches of government so we should hopefully stop seeing a focus on non-threatens (putting spies in Catholic Churches) and focus on the mentally ill, the racial supremacists, and the political radicals who have done billions of dollars of damage to America over the last few years.

That said it seems they are still using the current chaos to harass Jews in Chicago; I'm wondering how long it will take before they start burning down cities while they can still get away with  it.

Not sure why I cant reply, but as for the chart; yes, when you do not take into account billions of dollars worth of damage in cities like Minneapolis or LA being burnt down in race riots as terrorism, when you don't consider Marxists assaulting Jews and vandalizing synagogues and Jewish cemeteries as terrorism, then sure - left wing terrorism is low.

It's very easy to say it's "low" when your side is getting to make up the numbers. Something very common in leftist ideology.

You are going to drive yourself insane if you haven't already trying to do that, because the reality is that in the real world two separate things can both happen at the same time, and the existence of one does not predicate the non-existence of the other.

I'm not the one who brought up domestic terrorism, and if the only reason you did was to use it in a weird attempt at some emotional/race pandering logical fallacy then consider it a dead topic.

Yes, some did.

Many others - in the millions - crossed over the borders on foot; using a variety of Mexican cartel resources, hostile foreign actors, and dumb luck to try and make their way through desert and mountain.

"Limiting ourselves to reality" should not mean "only acknowledge the bits of it that affirm my belief."

To take just a single month of the surge - December 2023 - over 370,000 individuals were encountered at the border - 12,000 a day. 

For 3 years this went on, and while that was a peak month that still leads to millions of individuals who chose to take this route and are now within our borders without even the most basic of background screening; this was, again, just the *encountered* individuals.


We cannot pretend that millions of individuals - many of whom have been explicitly sent here by states of a variety of hostile governments for who knows' what reason - are not a problem just to avoid offending the sensibilities of people who are still here illegally, like it or not.

Most immigrants here illegally didn't run, jump, or swim here, nor did they ride a cartel caravan. They came here on legitimate visas and simply stayed. Of course, that flies in the face of the shit spewed by the orange orangutan, so it's consistently dismissed as 'fake news' by his adoring fans.

The source you provided is using 2017 numbers; this was during the peak of Trump-era border security regulations, the regulations that Democrats declared as racist and Biden/Harris promised to both repeal and open up.

Of course people were not coming here illegally, by means of foot, when we were funding our border patrol agency and giving them the legal measures to stop, detain, and secure migrants.

Thank you for making my point though; immigration *was* far more fair towards migrants under Trump's policy and was not an open gate that allowed millions of non-qualified and hostile foreign citizens to the country that damage our economy, steal work from hard working immigrants who came here through at least *remotely* savory means.

Here's the bottom line. Donald does not want a border bill, or secure borders, or whatever it is you've been conditioned to drone on about this cycle. Could've had that, personally nixed it because he wanted to whip up low info voters into a xenophobic frenzy. He's not a smart man, but he does have that low animal cunning common to his kind.

Americans problems will not be solved by stealing mexicans homes and children. We will fail doubly...in that it could not solve our problems, and we cannot deport that many people, alive.
