Is Trump going to Prison?
RE: Is Trump going to Prison?
Trump is plotting dictatorship if he wins the elections but, for one, he is incompetent and, two, he has such mental problems that he'll probably forget about everything. Already he is having major mental blunders such as his increasing inability to remember where he is, who is president where, or whom he ran against in the last election.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Polls a year out from an election don't mean a helluva lot. At this point in 2011, Obama was lagging behind Romney and had a job approval rating of under 50%. While being mindful of the investor's caveat, this is nothing to get in a twist about.

If anyone is really concerned that Trump is unbeatable, the thing to do is to work at getting Democrats elected in the House and Senate.

The polls in the last election were quite flawed ... I suspect they are now also.
Supposedly polling is a science, ... I'm not so sure at this point, due to issues with "availability", in the sense of "how" the polls are contacting their
subjects. I never answer our phone unless I know who is calling, and most of the time, I'm not willing to be interrupted when I doing something.
I do think that the new Speaker is such an idiot, that it may play to the Dems favor.

The problem with polls is that you are only getting responses from people willing to fill out polls.

I would love to know what % of the population that is.

It's doubtful, IMO, that polls show a true cross section of the population.

If dems don't show up for the vote it's going to be a pretty fucked up country for awhile.
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.

It's already a pretty fucked up country.

That is exactly what I was trying to say on The Absurd GOP thread in the Politics sub-forum. Thank you both for pointing that out.

Still, in regards to what others have said about the people of the USA being stupid, I do think this country needs better education to its people. Otherwise, we would have much less people supporting fools such as Donald Trump and most other republicans.

^I think there are too many people who say - I am a Republican or I am a Democrat so they vote that way regardless of who is running.

That and there are a lot of people who just don't bother - you can say 'Okay Boomer' but we are pretty likely to get out and vote because that's what we were taught to do. I think the frustration of feeling like your vote doesn't count anyway keeps a lot of people away from the polls. And don't get me started on the antiquated and useless Electoral College.

Yeah, what I meant by "republicans", and Donald Trump in this case, is that I was referring to the reactionary republicans rather than the actual conservative republicans. To me, being conservative, but not reactionary is fine by me.

In my eyes, it is okay to be republican as long as you are actually conservative and not reactionary and you are not brainwashed enough to not accept lies but accept facts. It is a shame too many republicans in the USA nowadays seem to be so bad and not actually care that much about the country and use the people of the nation for their own gain, among other things.

Then again, the same could be the case with the democrats, so there is that. Still, to me, the republican party of the US seem to show their bad side more than the democrats, but democrats can do that too, right?
