The cheek of Trump and Vance demanding Zelenskyy be grateful for
1. Rewarding his enemies with the territory they stole.
2. Extorting his country for resources without any security guarantees.
3. Calling him a dictator and blaming him for the war.
4. Denying Ukraine NATO membership status which would guarantee security.
5. Essentially bullying him into accepting a false peace on Russian terms, and essentially treating his country like a dependent child.
6. The billions Biden, not Trump, gave him.
Remind me what he is supposed to be grateful to Trump for?

Even if Britain never rejoins the EU, I hope even Brexiteers would be open to us joining some sort of European military alliance... cos we're going to need it.

Two NATO members have nukes enough to devastate Russia. No NATO member can veto another's going to the aid of third member. America can sit it out, but other NATO members have the capabilities to defend against a Russian military that has been denuded in Ukraine.

That's reassuring. Obviously I don't know enough about it so thanks for the education. So you don't think there's any need for a separate European defence force? I'm pretty sure the idea has been floated at times in the past.

It has, and if there were ever a good time for it, a moment when it could be formed at parity or exceeding the capacity of it's hypothetical foe..that would be now. The us and russia are weak.

Oh I could never leave lady liberty alone with her abusers. Still, the silver lining here is that if we're witnessing the russification f the american government (and we are) then people have even less to worry about from americas forces than they think they do in our current weary state. We'll just find ourselves picking a fight with canadia and losing superweapons to retirees running jobsite construction equipment for our troubles.
