He also sounds like a horribly immoral and hateful person. As someone who is suffering from multiple sclerosis, I know I did nothing to bring this on in this life or any other, and I am extremely offended by him blaming the victim.

So tell me Thack.
Suppose in a previous life you kill or you commit any crime and the cops never got hold of you.
Would you really think that you can get away with that in this life or maybe you think that we live only once so if we do something wrong and the cops don't get us we are just lucky?

I surely may sound mean and nasty to someone who doesn't believe in karma (action and reactions) but consider that mine is only an opinion whilst the karma law may well be real and if it is real it will hurt a lot so i reckon is well wise to be prepared just in case.

I dunno, but past lives are hokum. Sure, it sucks that there is no "cosmic justice" but pretending it all sorts itself out in other lives is pure fantasy. And very dangerous thinking if it leads to blaming people for being a victim or getting ill.

1) So you reckon that people who commit crimes and are not paying for their crimes in this life are just lucky?
2) You guys state that there is no reincarnation.
Where is the evidence of this?
3) You also state that it is not possible that someone who is raped or suffer in this life is not a consequence of previous actions in previous lives.

4) You believe that i am a nasty bastard because i may put down people who are suffering.

I have been looking after few thousand of people suffering during the last 25 years as a nurse.
As a nurse i have to know the cause of their problem of course in order to be able to help them but i would never think to criticise them in any way.
The only thing that piss me off is when they persist in doing the wrong thing like smoking.
I am not helping them because this is my job and i get paid for but i am helping them also because when they get better i also feel better.
