Is this wrong?

Not at all like being a self-centred tranSSexual! Couldn't be more different: a transsexual can get 'fixed' = distance him/herself from the other persona. These conjoined twins obviously cannot.

Not all of us can get 'fixed', you know... (and infact many cannot be 'complete' due to a number of factors)... and any transexxual who would like to bear their own children is so out of luck (which is a lot of them, judging from the polls i've seen).

And just as not all transexuals are the same: not all conjoined twins are the same. Some of them infact are lucky enough that they can be separated.

And being as I am currently far closer to this body than I would like: I can currently empathize quite well with their situation. Your ignorance, on the other hand... is eternal Smile

Seems you conveniently forgot this debate is not about just any conjoined twins, but about these conjoined twins. And about you. Since you brought it up...

Your problem can be dealt with. Even if not perfectly.
(Although I have IRL seen 10" artificial dicks, in perennial erection, that humble any 'real' man! And artificial cunts that are more perfect than 95% of the 'real' ones! No man can tell the difference).
These conjoined twins' problem, however, is completely insoluble.
No similarity whatsoever! None !

You have good reason to believe in science, and not in a god. You see examples of it, evidence, around you all your life. It may even solve your problem to a large degree. You know that.
They, however, have no reason at all to believe in science. Science cannot solve their problem, is what the scientists themselves told them all their lives. They know that. They themselves are living proof.
So it's pretty logical they put their faith in a god. It's all they have. Even if a fata morgana.

You can hardly judge people in such strong terms simply because they don't think like you, or as you would like them too.

I don't think it's unfair at all. I'm sickened at religion, not these people for being roped in by it.

The point I'm making is that religion preys on those who are in unfortunate and vulnerable positions, and ironicly tells them they should be ok with the way they are because some fucked up sicko in the clouds made them that way and has a 'plan' for them.

I don't think being 'sickened' by this is at all unfair or wrong. That's the way I feel about it, frankly if you think this is perfectly fine then I feel even more sick at the fact that people think this is perfectly acceptable.

So you're saying that the twins beliefs are totally misguided then Nap? That seems to be a bit of a leap to make. Sure there are vulnerable people... but who are you to say they're being abused? You don't get the belief; perhaps they do.

I'd agree that religion is bad.

These conjoined twins' tragedy could be even worse, though: imagine it if one was a fundamentalist believer (in whatever religion/superstition), and the other was a rational atheist...

We're having a debate? Why wasn't I told? Smile

Also, while I brought up myself as an example: It was you who cast all transexual's difficulties as equal Smile

Mine can, tis true. And infact I'm among the lucky few who can get it done 'perfectly' Smile The world will probably throw me shoddy surgeons just to maintain how it normally is Smile

That a problem can be dealt with does not mean it doesn't exist Smile And currently I can empathize. Unlike the noted conjoined twins... I can get something done about it. But right now... where I am? I can empathize exceedingly well Smile

That some scars are permanent and others will last forever changes not that they are still scars.

Anyone who believes in some mystical being who created every shitty little thing who somehow has a plan for the good is misguided you dumb shit.

I wouldn't leap I'd fucking fly to make that assertion.

Ah! You didn't get the memo!
Again...

Please feel free to post a quote of mine to prove that 'accusation'.

I've said the difference between these conjoined twins and transsexuals, in general, is that the formers' problem is insoluble while the latters' isn't. A.k.a. 180º Opposites.

I'll also say that it is difficult to take what you say seriously when you consistently manage to misspell your own professed condition. Even after a none too subtle hint.
FYI: it is 'tranSSexual', with double S, not 'tranSexual'.

Your man is a well honed, trained, and even educated specialist in the matter. He's spent considerably more time studying it in close-up than even its maker did. Can't compare him with 99% of men! I can't run the 100 meter dash inside 10 seconds either. But Usain Bolt can.
Invalid argument.

Nobody ever said that. But you compared your situation to the plight of those conjoined twins, and even ridiculed them for their faith. Imo that is a chutzpah! Especially coming from someone like you who's had the good fortune to have her problem dealt with as good as it has!
You ought to be grateful for your good luck instead of pissing on those wretched conjoined twins.

Go shame yourself. As a human being. Fuck the gender.

You have the gall to compare your almost perfectly invisible (except when you flaunt 'm) physical and emotional scars to their eternal hell on earth?
I'm speechless.
You should try some of those 3D glasses, maybe it'll give you a sense of perspective and proportionality.
