ReB's Philosophy and Morals
September 21, 2011 at 11:33 pm
As an Athiest I think it is ones job to make their own morals. I understand some people just need a book or a god to tell them what their morals have to be. I don't. I think that, if your not hurting yourself, or others, you can do what you want. Laws are irrelevant to me, but most laws follow my morals, such as don't steal, murder, rape, stuff like that. I cant think of the rest off hand, but if theres any questions, I'll be happy to answer them for you.

Books like the bible are terrible references for morals anyway. Sounds like you're on a great path.

You guys are a bunch of heathens. We all know that if it wasn't for the morality handed down by the bible, the world would be in chaos.
And if those words ever actually came out of my mouth, and I meant it, then this would be my next action...
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell

I'm pretty sure the Chinese and Ancient Greeks had morals far in advance of 10 commandments, several thousand years before they came about.
Yes Statler, that means the world is older than 4000 years. And yes the Chinese had a written language 11000 years ago.
