Adam and Eve were created to live forever, sin brought death into this world and that is why they lost the gift of eternal physical life. With sin as part of their lives God would not let them eat from the tree of life. Eternal life is only for the sinless and that is accomplished through the last Adam who is Jesus Christ. This is becoming redundant so if you can not understand it then just say so, I'm not going to waste anymore time with this, to many other things to get accomplished.

I know which part I find difficult to understand. Why anyone should accept your myth, and specifically your translation of that myth, as genuine.

Years? I thought the whole purpose of the 'written word of god' was to make things simple. I found it quite legible. I read the English version (KJV).
It may take years to find solutions and answers to the contradictions and debauchery however.

So the tree of knowledge was real and the tree of life was symbolic? How do you people keep up with all this? (I guess that is part of the 'years' thing)

If all Adam and eve had to do was eat an apple, what do you think the things in your life will say your god? I already know the answer to that. You have created god in your own image and you two agree on everything. If it goes against logic, it is symbolic (or "The mystery of god"). If it agrees with your point, it is literal.

@IATIA where did I say the tree of life was symbolic, you must be reading into my statements what you want just as you do scripture. One thing you can do for me show me where scripture says they ate an apple, bet you can not find it.

Whatever they ate it did not agree with them. Whenever you fail to listen to God you end up in big trouble. Maybe that is why the world is headed down the road that leads to judgment. hock:

An assumption made from your wording and response that had nothing to do with my statement. And again with the "apple", fruit whatever. The fact remains that you have yet to address my points other than to elaborate on your "connection" with your god. You have yet to explain the contradictions, only quoting more. Ten statements/quotes that contradict one does not make any less a contradiction.

It is quite obvious from this quote that Adam and Eve were destined to die until they ate of the tree of life. Twist it anyway you like, but that does not change the statement.
