Jesus birth date and death
#11
RE: Jesus birth date and death
Most christians do not believe that Christ was born on Dec. 25th, He was most likely born in Sept. or Oct. and as for His death and resurrection, like thesummerqueen said it falls at Passover which moves in the Jewish calendar according to the moon phase.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

RE: Jesus birth date and death
My dealings with the site http://yourdeathdate.info had ended in a nasty exchange with the site`s management. Just about half a year ago my girlfriend took a death-prediction test and found out that she had only about a month and a half left to live. When she had only a day left before the predicted date, she started showing clear signs of agitation and got into a car accident exactly on the predicted date. She survived accident, but the that was a real close call. We are now taking legal action again this site on our lawyer`s advice.

His birth, death, and "resurrection" most likely never happened at all so it doesn't really matter what date the assholes choose for a fictional character's birth.

Shit, xtians have two sources for the birth story which are a minimum of 10 years off.

I still haven't seen proof that he was ever born, lived, or died in actual reality.

Anyone out there have any evidence?

This post is not about the truth, I was asking how do the clergy respond when a parishioner asks about the very paganistic moon phase thing.

That probably depends on the clergyman, wouldn't you say?

Most of the fundie lunatics here in the states would ask why the questioner had "lost his faith?"

(That's the head game they like to play with those clowns.)

With concocted batshittery and lies, of course.

Umm.... you just described every aspect of every religion.. my question was specifically about the discrepancy between the dates, one moves about and one doesn't..... but I guess doing that answers not just my question but every question asked.

Greek orthodox xtians do not use Dec. 25. I mean, I expect such variation with fantasies.

Even fundamentalists will admit they are not sure when in the year Jesus was born. Also that the holiday of Saturnalia (which fell at the same time as Christmas) got appropriated by Christians (at least in the west).
