Map of a Woman's Heart
|
Witty.
Well the brain maps.
The only place I could live in there is between fickleness and selfishness and vanity and the middle regions of sentimentality. My heart's filled with one hell of a lot more than love... little of it 'good'. So this map isn't accurate at all for me.
I notice in particular an absence of depression, anger, hurt, resentment, irritation, fury, recklessness, determination, stubbornness, intensity, erraticness, bitterness, spite, eccentricity, psychosis, sadness, manipulativeness, and hate. Sure, it has shit like hope and enthusiasm... but a heart is not filled only by such light substances, nor is it affected only by such substances. Please give me a home where cloud buffalo roam
Where the dear and the strangers can play
Where sometimes is heard a discouraging word
But the skies are not stormy all day

I meant to say that the Land of Jewelry should cover at LEAST %50 of that heart. Every woman I've EVER known can be bought with a shiny fucking stone. Even the ones that say, "Not me" with self-righteous indignation will always do a complete U turn if you drop a few karats in their lap. It's really the only thing I find disgusting about women. Love of inanimate objects (especially shiny stones). Soooo stupid. (November 15, 2011 at 6:04 pm)Rev. Rye Wrote: Why a woman needs hundreds of pairs of shoes, I will never know. One for each outfit? I just buy black shoes whenever I need a new pair. Black just goes with everything. As for the "love of shiny stones", us women all have ADD. It's true. You can basically win us over with anything that looks pretty. ^^Yup!
Don’t ask.
Looking at this map, I kind of thought it runs the risk of catching on fire.
Reminds me of this for some odd reason... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SLg8tZkW71k Meow! GREG (November 15, 2011 at 4:17 pm)thesummerqueen Wrote: We were discussing maps in the e-mail-listing-that-must-not-be-named.

The absence of all empirical evidence for the necessity of intuitive X existing is evidence against the necessary empirical existence of intuitive X - MoS (variation of 180proof) Athesim is not a system of belief, but rather a single answer to a single question. It is the designation applied by theists to those who do not share their assumption that a god/deity exists. - MoS I am not one to attribute godlike qualities to things that I am unable to understand. I may never be in the position to understand certain things, but I am not about to create an anthropomorphic deity out of my short-commings. I wish not to errect a monument to my own personal ignorace and demand that others worship this proxy of ego. - MoS
True story, Cin: my ex asked me one year what I wanted for my birthday. He had just gotten a "real job" and was feeling flush. I told him I wanted new wheels for my Jeep. Black ones, to match her paint. He tried to suggest jewelry. I was adamant. The wheel set cost $100 on sale. He later bought me jewelry for twice and three and four times that amount, but I never got as much satisfaction out of those baubles as I did my Black Bonny.
I just sold one of the jewelry sets he gave me today because it was gaudy, gold, and the sapphires were huge. Might as well get rid of it and make a little money off it, since I'm sort of in need. I'm more into pearls and rubies and silver anyway, and come to all that I'd rather you buy me seeds or a rosebush or a plant of some sort. I'm a fairly easy lover to get along with. Oh, btw, 'gifts' don't make me forget it if you've been a dick to me. Well, the gardening stuff might mollify me, but we're going to hash that shit out one way or another. As for shoes, I enjoy them, but not to the point that I need a hundred pairs. Just enough to mix and match outfits, and a few for special wear. Some guys like a good shoe. Me, I just like feeling taller in a good pair of heels.
The whole thing is pretty stupid, IMO.

Yeah...because it's not like men aren't just as obsessed with material objects. Oh wait... Like you, I don't get the jewelry obsession. Women have been conditioned to like it and don't even think about why they like or if they actually like it. If a man presented me with expensive jewelry, I'd thank him and ask him to take it back. The money could be spent on a vacation or something for both of us. On the other hand, I'd never turn down these: SO PRETTY!
That will never hold up in court...
I noticed an absence of lust on that map, or was that lost in a des(s)ert somewhere?
Trying to update my sig ...
