That's not an argument for biblical morality. It's an argument against cultures where slavery is still tolerated. It doesn't make the bible any better.

Understand only the word 'slavery' is not tolerated in this and other 'high horse' western countries. we have absolutely no issue employing slaves with in our borders nor outsourcing them so long as our economies stay strong. I have given examples of all of this already go back and reread what I have said.

If you read what I said before, you would know I'm aware of that. But again, different conclusions. For me it doesn't say the bible has it right. It merely says, we have it wrong.

Grant people a living wage and make people pay 50 cents more for any given product. We were there before. When I was a child, an unskilled worker could care for a family. At least he could feed and cloth them without food stamps or other state subsidies. That system isn't written in stone. It grew within the last two or three decades.

This thread is fucking hilarious. Choristers can't figure out why don't take them seriously on morality.

I wonder what would happen if I offered myself as a slave to one of those apologists who feel the need to defend slavery. Would they take me as a slave? If not, why not? Would they then admit owning another human is wrong?

Or better yet, get them to become your slave.

They'd never agree to that, of course. I think it would hurt my argument because they could then claim that I agree with slavery. Maybe a better question, rather than offering myself as a slave, is: Do you agree with keeping slaves? Or would you ever want to own another human being?

I know I would not want to be a slave so I can reasonably assume that other people don't want to be slaves either. Apologists don't have any empathy apparently. Putting rules in place on how to treat slaves makes it fine, apparently.
