What are your favorite TV shows?
|
I don't watch an awful lot of TV real time but I do go through phases watching whole box sets or recorded series. Out of the comedies I can't choose my favourites cos I love them all... UK: Bottom (Rik Mayall et al), Yes [Prime] Minister, One Foot In The Grave, Allo Allo, Birds of a Feather, Red Dwarf, Hancock's Half Hour, My Family, Blackadder, Coupling, Little Britain. US: Frasier, Will & Grace, Home Improvement, Two and a Half Men, The Simpsons, Ally McBeal. I used to watch every soap going but I don't watch any any more, but my favourite of all time - and which I was very happy to find repeats of on Sky recently - is Knots Landing. I absolutely love that programme, even now. Reality TV-wise I used to love Big Brother until another channel took it over and ruined it by turning a vote to evict into a vote to save... how's that supposed to satisfy your bloodlust? I'll always watch the Snooker if it's on cos I love the game (and pool). Oh and prison dramas - Bad Girls was great and Oz was amazing. Yeah, also detectives; CSI, Midsomer Murders, Morse, good old Columbo, Monk etc.
TRJF blasphemer! What about Gravity Falls? With Rick and Morty close behind?

Lately, I've been following the one with that guy. You know - he was in that thing with that other guy, and then things happened. Terrific show.

"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

What they need for a decent reality show is a gladiatorial contest. Not that "gladiators" show from years ago, real gladiatorial combat.
