The audience keeps dying off while waiting and the next generation of dolts say "This time for sure!!!"
The really hilarious - and sad - thing is that they're the only people surprised when the Apocalypse (or whatever they want to call it) doesn't happen.

I do spend time feeling like an idiot occasionally, made a lot of mistakes down thru the years, but I got the biggest choice right, and that covers everything.
