The really hilarious - and sad - thing is that they're the only people surprised when the Apocalypse (or whatever they want to call it) doesn't happen.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

A fucking 'study' on how water came to be on Mars no less! I've not read it to be fair but I can guess the tone of the study and I wager a bet that it involves magic.

Science behind the blood moon.
Earth's shadow is red at the edges for the same reason a sunset is red: When sunlight is scattered by passing through Earth's atmosphere, the other colors of the spectrum are removed. In a solar eclipse, the moon casts its shadow on Earth.
