This interpretation of prayer makes it sound more like one of those mantras that cults use to keep the faithful in line and unthinking. Which is - revealing.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

It is keep up in remembrance of GOD's will. What's the point of it. Why do I need to "keep up in remembrance of GOD's will", when I could happily use the time walking my dogs, playing with my family, or taking a good nap? What's the point of prayer? To keep what is right close in mind, and as such, close at hand.
No one said to not play with your children or not walk your dog.
Some can easily be lead astray by their own desires.
Prayer helps to both show GOD that though you may not always abide, that you do strive to, and also, to keep one occupied with good acts, deeds, and words, as opposed to those things unbeneficial to any, ultimately.

Since God already knows my future, in what sense is it in my best interest to ". . . show GOD that though you may not always abide, that you do strive to, and also, to keep one occupied with good acts, deeds, and words, as opposed to those things unbeneficial to any, ultimately." What's in it for me? Can I change my God-known destiny by prayer, or can I not?

I, on the other hand, have never met the cunt. But if I ever had the displeasure of meeting him I'd twat the bastard.
You will at judgment and you will be on your knees confessing that Christ truly is Savior and Lord.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

So you're basically saying - muttering to yourself is meant to be both a way to suck up to your imaginary overlord/sky-daddy and to keep you from wanking yourself into severe dehydration? It's a sad, sad life you must be living - I'll bet you can't wait to go to heaven... where you'll spend eternity sucking up to your overlord/sky-daddy and trying to keep yourself from wanking...

[emoji14] I do not believe in a traditional heaven.
And prayer helps me to keep all sorts of things in mind, from "not wanking it", to doing good without want of reward or attainment in return.
