brain death has a clear medical definition.
I'll let you copy and paste that definition then. Because that's what I'm talking about.
No no need to copy and pasted the definition if you already know.
The real question is, if it's proven that a person did indeed have experiences, while meeting the medical requirements to be "brain dead", would you concede?

You seem to be under a misapprehension. A person that is brain dead doesn't come back to report experiences. Brain death is the complete and irreversible loss of brain function.

I don't know a single credible NDE researcher who has both collected data and published in peer reviewed journals that does not believe that the best evidence strongly suggests that consciousness survives physical death.
If you want to qquibble, what death means for research purposes is not having a functional brain that could in any way support cognitive functions.or regulate bodily processes. Research has shown that NDE experiences happen during that state and not after.

Just trying to parse your position here - are you saying that NDEs are evidence for consciousness survivng physical death?
And I agree, NDEs do happen during the process of death...not after death, hence their name. So how could NDEs be evidence for what happens after the process of death is complete?

A person is brain dead when a medical professional declares them to be. what the above definition does is leave a loophole to deny any unexplained instances that may occur.
So basically no matter how "dead" the brain may have been, any successful resuscitation just means the brain wasn't really dead...
See how flawed that is?

...the definition I gave is the definition by physicians in the Uniform Determination of Death Act. And it's not the same as a persistent vegetative state - what the layman might call brain dead.

The key word is "irreversible".
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

Does that include return to a conscious state only?
