Why Can't Anything Travel Faster than Light?

RE: Why Can't Anything Travel Faster than Light?
is it an inherent property of a quark to move, and to move at great speeds ?

Quarks are super complicated because they are subject to the strong force which confines them such that they never travel isolated from other quarks that cancel out their "color charge".
But it goes roughly like this: In the Proton and Neutron they are confined in a small space by the strong force, and by virtue of the Heisenberg principle that means that they need to have momentum - you can estimate from the proton size and Heisenbergs formula how much roughly.

Perhaps they shot jesus out their asses?

Jesus is already everywhere at the same time.

How could be blown out of an ass change anything ?

Yeah... gossip.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

Thank you Smile. Probably not necessary, but just to hammer this home: another way to picture the difference is to imagine being in freefall on the ISS. You are weightless, so you float around the cabin. But smacking into the bulkhead is the moment you become aware of your mass.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Doesn't time stand still at the speed of light.
Maybe photons can't travel any faster because they would go backwards in time stopping them from going any faster.

Basically, yeah. The abovementioned fact that the speed of light is always the same has as a direct consequence that your time would have to stand still if you're going at the speed of light.

That just means that photons don't age as they traverse the Universe...
