Of course his presidency is built on lies, that was one of the main reasons for voting for him. We just had a certain expectation for what the lies were and he delivered. Kelly just needs to get the stick out of her ass and accept the age of Trump, he may win a 2nd term but who cares. As long as it ain't Hillary

As long as he stands by this on the basis that it is temporary I won't care about the ban. Granted their are many reasons for outright banning transexuals from the military to begin with but I will give both parties the fair share at their claims. The amount of mental health issues in the transexual community is worrying but the GOP's hatred toward transexuals is also a whole other dilemma not helping anybody. 

We all have the right to screw, fuck, fondle, discipline and have pretend rape with whoever we want as long as both parties say yes. BUT when it comes to the military it is a whole other ball game.

I just want to see transexuals serve and see the statistics behind it. Both outcomes would not surprise me honestly. I say that because I would doubt many transexuals would even want to serve in the armed forces and for those that do I am sure they feel or acknowledge they are competent enough to do so. Homosexuals proved otherwise and the operate fine as soldiers but at the same time they do not have the baggage that transexuals do.

They do serve, and the stats do exist.  That' one of the many reasons it's a dumbass idea on a fundamental level, and the only reason to "ban" them, a practical impossibility, think it through..... is pandering to bigots.

I can have reasonable conversations with anybody, my best friend is a socialist and I acknowledge him all the time for his opinions because he makes rational competent decisions. He is also a theist and this does not bother me.

You have peaked my interest because I have never found any credible statistic or any of that matter. I know they do serve but I am clueless about the capacity at which they do. I know a couple thousand do serve but at the same time I am wondering about how do they house them or even how are they treated. I say this because if you have people identifying as a different gender then this would obviously confuse the "righteous warriors of Jesus" pricks in the military. Atheists have had many issues in the armed forces do to so many superior officers being of this type. 

I know the military is a shit-show in the US but I am unable to do as much research at the moment due to summer classes. So I apologize if I am a few months behind on the latest and greatest news at the moment

The stats are already linked in a thread on these boards specifically about that subject, and would be available had you ever chosen to google them. You;d be surprised at how few..or how differently, the "righteous warriors of jesus" are expressed in the rank and file. I never had trouble as an atheist in the service....my unit had more than a couple pagans, and a surprising number of muslims......but, we were combat arms. The dregs of the military. The upper social and cultural strata generally angle for better jobs, lol.

There's a culture, in the service..of mooting all of that shit in favor of competency. We sing about the red right hand of our ranger god, not jesus. Though, I suppose that jesus is the ranger god to jesus joes, allah to muslim militants, and....cold steel and death itself...to guys like me. You really....really, cant trust what interested civilians and politicians frame as military culture or what would "bother soldiers and hurt their military readiness". It's nothing like what people have been told or would expect. It;s a lowest common denominator thing, a race to the bottom, any idiot or cripple can do this - what's wrong with you, a "your differences are meaningless and stuff it or be punished" ethos. They take people with ideologies and turn them into cogs who kill.

Are we really expected to believe that..somehow, the fear of there being a transsexual...somewhere...in their unit, would keep a critical joe awake at night and hurt his combat effectiveness?
