One sentence that throws the problem of evil out of the window.

Technically it's just one of them.  The other side says that baby girls buried alive go to hell along with the one who buried them alive.  Wink

For discipline purposes, maybe. But totally not religious as far as I know.

Please check if the source you're using is based on Shiite/Sunni folklore, or the Quran only.
I go back and forth between them both or just magic book at will.  Your internecine squabbles are no problem of mine. None of it is any more or less credible than any other bit.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I assume this is a joke?

Why, do you see a punchline? I'm asking a serious question. Why would Hitler be in hell?
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

I want to ask the religionists here, does your own morality concur with those of your god?

If nothing else, in Catholicism suicide is a mortal sin.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.

Ah, but we've established that "in catholicism" is not an accurate indicator for what CL believes.

She thinks that at least some people who die in mortal sin...atheists the world over who hear and reject the word, and believers of other religions the world over who hear and reject the word..might get to call a mulligan on life and the state of their soul at death...and get into heaven.  She believes that being in hell relies on a continuous rejection of god.

It's conceivable that Hitler got a pass through the pearlies on any of these.

No doubt.  I mean once you stand before the face of god and realize His perfection, you'd realize "gosh, I shouldn't have gassed all those jews.  What the hell was I thinking?  But now I know what true perfection is, I choose that.  Lord, can I have that seat next to you?  Thanks."

It's a grave sin. Whether or not a grave sin becomes a mortal sin depends on the person's culpability, which in my opinion is always lessened greately due to a persons mental state when they go as far as to kill themselves.

He's probably in Hell for the hatred he had in his heart and for all the heinous, evil things he had done to millions of innocent people. But I'm sure I didn't need to say that.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

We have to first believe He is real before choosing to turn our backs to Him, and theres no way to know who did that. That's why we as Catholics specifically steer clear of assuming any particular person is in Hell. The source you posted itself said that the only beings we can be absolutely sure are in Hell are Satan and his followers. Because we cannot see into a person's heart and know their motives and their intentions and wheher they made a conscious decision to reject God. No where in Catholic teaching will you see it said that non Christians go to Hell. Nowhere. We are specifically not allowed to say that because we simply don't know and it isn't our place to judge the state of another person's soul.

So much for all of that...I guess. Some catholics seem to be conflicted as to whether or not they believe in the contents of the catechism -and- their own minds. I blame this on the church. They've left the flock rudderless for centuries.

But Hitler and Stalin did not create a paradise. Both failed miserably in even securing a high standards of living for all their citizens.
God created evil, but he also created good, and orders only with the good. He doesn't ask people to commit immoralities, he doesn't command with evil. Evil is a created possibility; but it's always caused by those creatures that choose it.

Human dictators only commit selfish evil, and really incapable of something "that good" like creating mercy or paradise.
