I try to apportion my beliefs to the evidence. I dismiss out of hand any textual account containing things that have never been demonstrated to be real/possible. As far as the "Christian narrative" goes, it fails on the first page. If these books didn't have legendary status and weren't indoctrinated into little kids, they would be recognized for the fiction that they are.

Sex was not the intended way for humans to be produced, we were supposed to be formed from the earth just like Adam was.

Look, I can get on board with Deism or Pandeism. I don't believe them, but I can see it. But. The idea of a personal deity that modeled the entire goddamn universe just for our sorry asses that took billions of years to evolve to the point where we could even comprehend religious ideas is absolutely ridiculous to me. The Abrahamic religions are just downright silly to me, the same way we all laugh at ridiculous stories in Greek and Roman mythology.
