You are using wishful thinking still, so who is it that has truly disappointed their teachers. Once the first chair was built the concept of a chair disappeared, the only concept left for the chair is the different ways in which it has been built.

In no way does the concept disappear if the subject exists. Someone can close her eyes and quite easily conceptualize a chair.

Concepts are mental representations of both abstractions and actual, real things. If you can think of a rock, you have a concept of a rock. Your concept of rock was generalized/abstracted from you learning the common properties of rocks. There are millions of different types of chair, your abstract concept of 'chairs' is what lets you recognize both an arm chair and a beanbag chair as both being chairs. If the concept of chair actually disappeared, you'd cease to know what a chair is.
