Yeah, the PNW is great. I lived in Washington for a few years. There were more black folk than white folk in my neighborhood. There didn't appear to be any racism at all. People were too busy cooking drugs. Meth is a big problem out there.

My sister lived in the Seattle area for 30 years.
She bailed.
Too liberal, too high on taxes, too much government, housing too expensive and wages not high enough. (She with a master's)
Plus it rains waaay too much.

I don't know how many of my neighbors are black, never bothered counting. I do know that the guy next door thinks trees are trying to kill him, but I doubt that's because he's black.

I live in Cornelius Oregon and it is pretty chill although I would rather live in Hillsboro. It is rainy and cold a lot here although lately not as bad as it has been due to global warming.

Oh, I assumed you went from Bama straight to the Cleveland area (I think?). Didn't know that you'd spent time in Greensboro.

I didn't have to count. I simply noticed. Everyone notices when they're "different" from the majority. It's not a bad thing. It's natural.

I don't think she's trying to move because she wants different nature. That's probably why we're all talking about the people and economics of the place. Also, whether you like the nature or not, you still have to live with the people. I found the people to be just fine, apart from the fact that a great deal of them were meth heads.

Wrong Boro girly. Murfreesboro TN. And my friends there would be more than willing to take me. But I don’t like to impose, 😅 and yeah they’ve told me that’s nonsense.
