When I was attending university, I had two jobs and was taking 17 (semester) units. I got up, showered, shaved, etc., and went to school. The parking lot was deserted. It was a school holiday. Glad there weren't a lot of people around.
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.
I keep having a recurring vision of an Aussie surgeon handcuffed to a table. Wonder what that means...

When I was in the service- stat ioned ashore - we stood 4 section duty. 12 hour shifts. 2 day shifts. 2 days off. 2 night shifts. 3 days off. Repeat. You show up at the galley for breakfast and there is a bunch of guys from one of the other sections there.... "What are you guys doing here?" earns you being laughed at - as it dawns on you that you got up and put on your uniform -on your day off..... Last laugh is on them - you get to go back to bed.... 
When I was stationed in Puerto Rico I was one of the night MAA's in the WAVE barracks. Weekdays I worked from knock-off to turn-to, weekends I worked 24 straight. Then three days off. In the Caribbean. Life was hard, so hard.
