teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Wow, I had no clue until right now that there's a whole avalanche of remakes of old cult movies played by mucho guys now done by women

Like superman where now a superwoman is being played by Michelle Forbes

Then there's new robocop played by Natasha Henstridge

Then even "Fistful of Dollars" is remade by this actress who will remake all of Eastwood's spaghetti westerns and will become an action hero superstar for the 21st century

Then there's this Rambo reboot that was supposed to open this summer

And to show that they are not just violent femmes and that women have a sense of humor, there is also a Mr. Bean female remake by Emma Thompson

I bought a cassette tape player in '74 after the 8-track player croaked, and sold all those tapes for a buck a pop. 8-track players came out by the time I had a car to drive, but some of my friends had 4-track players.
