I told my wife I wanted to be cremated. She made me an appointment for Tuesday.

I'm speechless
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

I'd take them away every time for them (or their parents) to collect, after school. Whether it was them, or their parents, depended on how much shit they gave me. When they'd come in after school, and objected, all I had to do was open to a random page, read what I found there, and ask "is this appropriate for the classroom?" Often, the ads were the worst.

If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.
