Besides (correct me if I am wrong) isn’t he the one who in his first term initiated the retreat from Afghanistan and in 2020 Joe Biden had no choice but to carry it out? Correct. The mad king initially sought to have secret meetings at camp david with the taliban to discuss the future of afghanistan but those had to be called off when they killed some american soldiers. Not for long, though, as the dotard in chief did eventually sign the doha agreement with the taliban, excluding the afghan government from negotiations, timed to create as much trouble for the incoming adminstration as possible so that 10,000 year old man had something to tweet about in exile.

We'll never know what might have been if the us remained committed to what community and nation building projects it had once premised the operation upon and had success with. Biden saw a chance to end what the american public had come to view as a worthless quagmire, and he took it. One assumes that an american president can always come up with some reason to put or keep troops somewhere - but that's not the call he made.
These two things alone ought to have informed you on the absurdity of believing that the united states was ever engaged in or even could save iranians from a fascist theocratic dictatorship. Someone would have to save us from our own, first.

You're definitely wrong in this regard. Both Japan and South Korea provide excellent basing to offset their high operating costs. Those costs would be extremely high if we were to base our troops in a country whose population largely hates us ... a country that could only provide us one base of significant strategic value. Our Afghanistan folly cost America roughly $100 billion per year, every year, on average.

- There is a huge range of tools between dimply watching as it happens and full military intervention. Europe (finally) putting the IRG on the list of terror organizations is on of such possible moves.
As I said, The Israel issue is an important issue in the US. Someone like Joe Biden would have found a middle way in which both Israel is protected and the Iran issue is handled without major economic consequences for all of the world. But would this have mean no war with Iran at all? – I’m not sure.
But if there was military intervention, it would be better coordinated with all regional countries + Europe supporting US troops etc.
I've got no idea what you're saying or who you're saying it to. Please try to figure out how the quote tags work and organize this into something other than a stream of consciousness.
Quote:But I can tell you this: Although a bit blurry, D. Trump did have a point on Greenland. I think he put pressure on Greenland so that they would agree to remain under Denmark’s protection because otherwise (yes) some other country could have decided to simply invade it at some point. That’s my personal theory. I have this theory in which D. Trump is neither stupid nor insane but that he wants everyone to believe he simply doesn’t have that sort of mental capacity
This merely shows that you're too dumb to be a troll. Trump's antics with Greenland achieved nothing except to alienate allies that he now desperately needs. Greenland was never under threat of invasion by anybody and it would have triggered a full NATO response if they had. Greenland was a secure asset a long way from anybody who was going to threaten it, other than Trump. Russia has a war in Ukraine to deal with. China's on the opposite side of the globe. Who are you worried about here? Canada? Mexico? Algeria? Your theory is imbecility invented to defend an imbecile.
Quote:- Yes sir I did. I am not willing to admit that someone who says “In the Name of God the Provider and the Merciful” and then murders its own (Muslim) people with AK-47’s can win.
You think that only god people can win? How precious. I have a prediction for you. Trump's going to get bored and fuck off, leaving Iran no better off than it was despite the deaths. The Ayatollahs will win for no better reason than he's a moron and a coward.

One wonders whether it would be better if they were non muslim? I feel like a whole lot of murder has happened in the abrahamic world following that very exclamation. That they managed to all but eradicate every other group in their ao then took the snuff film global seems to suggest the strategy can win.
Meanwhile, add the 82nd Airborne to the list of boots getting ready for iranian ground. They're prepping for qrf, which kind of assumes they expect to be at some installation, somewhere, engaged in infantry skirmishes.

31st MEU is still on the way too. And while the headlines have moved on, the Air Force and the Navy still have aircrew putting their asses on the line every day ... tell me again, for what? 82nd assaults Kharg, 31st secures it, and then they get to sit there under a rain of drones -- got it.

Even before we compound any interest, the unfunded $2 trillion we threw into that country represents about 4.5% of our total national debt.
But hey, I've got an idea: let's cuts taxes on the wealthy, shove the financial war-burden onto the poor, and then have them do the fighting and dying too.

If something looks like something then it is something? Then it appears that you're indeed ignorant fool, gutless coward without shred of morals, troll and imbecile inventing improbable stories to defend actions of another imbecile.

Fascist scum had point on Greenland? I suppose the next thing that will come out of your idiot mouth will be crap about Hitler having point about Sudetenland?
trump is nothing more than deluded fool and you are even bigger one for supporting him.

Good lord I hope it's the other way around. The marine units have a larger force and significant amphibious and air power. The idea of the 82nd trying to jump onto a small island covered in defenders, aa, and large industrial installations is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard...but in trumplandia that does almost guarantee it's the plan, I suppose. Maybe he told Whiskey Pete it had to be the 82nd because he heard they were all american and he didn't want any pictures of mexicans raising flags in iran. The drip drip drip makes it sound like the fabled minneappolis express, where some small portion of hooah magats volunteered themselves for this very serious duty, sir.
My grandfather served in the 82nd. He died not too long ago, still believing in maga. Something tells me that getting boys from the 82nd killed over a harebrained plan to photo op an island nothereistan would have broken that spell if he'd lived to see it or even heard it discussed in earnest. He was in it for the racism, not the foreign misadventure.
