You're nearly right as I too have been having visions for years. You've misinterpreted this visitor as an Angel because of your deeply religious views. He is in fact an ambassador from a more advanced and spiritual race (so, sort of an angel I guess) who is gently preparing the human race for it's next evolutionary and spiritual leap where we make contact properly for the first time and are welcomed into the Galactic Federation as, unfortunately, very minor and protected members. But hey, at least we get to be part of something much bigger.

I'm not really talking about obsession with heaven, I'm talking about the ones who obsess about all the terrible things which are supposed to happen to people at the end of the world. I guess what I mean is, my life may not be perfect, but I enjoy every day of it and am not sitting around morosely pining for the destruction of the entire world and to be delivered to a happy place.

The universe seems to still be expanding. Some physicists think it will continue to expand forever.

All life on earth of course will die within a few billion years,when our sun becomes a red dwarf. Humans will be probably be extinct within a thousand years or less.
