I have been visited three nights in a row by a being who identifies himself only as the Angel of the Lord. I have been given visions about these end times and I'm afraid it is far sooner than any of us could have realized.

You're nearly right as I too have been having visions for years. You've misinterpreted this visitor as an Angel because of your deeply religious views. He is in fact an ambassador from a more advanced and spiritual race (so, sort of an angel I guess) who is gently preparing the human race for it's next evolutionary and spiritual leap where we make contact properly for the first time and are welcomed into the Galactic Federation as, unfortunately, very minor and protected members. But hey, at least we get to be part of something much bigger.

Obsession with heaven could be interpreted as a de-valuation of this world based on a hatred of life.

I'm not really talking about obsession with heaven, I'm talking about the ones who obsess about all the terrible things which are supposed to happen to people at the end of the world. And I'm not just pointing at Christian eschatology here, but anyone who believes in the 2012 end of the world idea, Planet X/Nibiru, or any other doomsday philosophies.

I guess what I mean is, my life may not be perfect, but I enjoy every day of it and am not sitting around morosely pining for the destruction of the entire world and to be delivered to a happy place.

I've never said I've talk to angels, when anyone makes a statement like that I will always want to see some evidence. The evidence that I would want would be something you could never understand, so I want bother to explain.
