Prayers like magic spells NEVER "worked"
Only getting off my ever widening behind and actually DOING is change affected or effected ... this the crux of the matter. anything else is masturbation of the mind...something I hear the abrahamic religions are against.

God only answers prayers in the way he wants to apparently.

Most of you simply bow your heads and make wishes or try and bargin with God. This is not prayer. We as Christians have been given to a model of Prayer by Christ Himself, and making wishes is not apart of that process. That said, know it is not a sin to make a wish. Also know God is not obligated to hear wishes either. God answers prayer, but understand formally making wishes is not praying.
