There's a set of distinctions that you're failing to make that have a big impact on this view: that 'sexuality personality' is composed of 3 parts:

1. physical sexuality - your 'default' position, who/what you're un/subconsciously attracted to
2. sexual identity - the label you apply to your sexuality, your social group identification ('hetero', 'bi', 'homo', 'a' etc.)
3. sexual behaviour - who you choose to have sex with

Physical sexuality is the 'genetically expressed' component the paper's talking about. It's not adjustable by nurture rather identity & behaviour are the parts which can (and do) change due to personal/social pressures.

Yes, for instance my 'talk-back-to-a-woman-that-seem-to-like-you-gene' is in a coma due to heavy heartbreaking. Any suggestions on how to re-active the gene? (alcohol doesn't work!).

Try to use the more generic 'talk-back-to-a-woman' gene...
If that doesn't work, then you still have the one you're using here, the 'talk-back-to-a-human'.

It's sickening that this discovery is as important as it is.

One of my atheist groups discussed the book by Richard Francis at a recent book club. I didn't read this selection, and my experience with that group is limited, but it sounds like a good place to start if you want to learn about epigenetics.
