I mean, what do you think it's like being gay and coming from a religion that tells you being gay is a sin? Or even if you're straight but you like to engage in sexual activities that the church looks down on? Like Catholics who use birth control?
I was a vegitarian for 3 years of my life and a vegan for 1. One of the arguments I always gave for it when this form of diet was questioned was:
"Vegitarians and Vegans have better sexlifes."
And everyone who ever experiemented with food and sex, or knows what impact a diet can have on a sexlife knows that this is simply true.
A low fat and low sugar diet, provides the body with the energy needed to engage in physical activity. Other than that it doesn`t make one stuff oneself up untill one feels full. Everyone who ever gave it a thought knows that the last thing to do when about to have sex or at least planing to do so, is to stuff your face with curry chicken.
A little salad, some avocado on a bit of bread (not white bread), dark chocolate with vanila flavor, Celery, red wine, Ginger and other light stuff which are low fat and "spicy" are just the right thing.
But can I conclude out of this that vegitarians and vegans generaly have a better sexlife? Or even argue that it is a reason for being a vegitarian?
I do know that in alot of religions there is a very strickt dogma on sex.
But do you really think, for example, that from the 2 billion members of the catholic church, every single one of them refuses to use birth control and anal sex and a pleasure fuck?
The mormons are a cult who shield themselves of from the outside world and closely survail the behavior of it`s members. So yes it is very likely that in a religion in which ones personal decisions are undermined by the organisation a good sexlife is probably less likely to evolve.
But out of such surveis I cannot reach conclusion over something as personal and individual as a persons sexuality.
I read a statistic some years ago which concluded that people of Hungarian nationality have the most and best sex amongst all other nationalities.
Should one move to Budapest, eat gulash and learn to become a magyar?
The question might be interestin. And I sure believe that lack of sex dogma furthers a better sexlife, but I peronaly believe that sex and a persons evolving of his or her sexlife is a to individual thing to be generalised in any way and pointed out in statistics in any way.
The various influences which form a individuals sexual needs, and which make that individual live those are far to big, to pin point a way of life which specificaly shows a path to more sexual pleasure.
