Actually Catholicism doesn't seem to have a problem with evolution and arguably never did. This appears to be an invention of the American Churches.

Anglicans are OK with evolution too.

Not a big fan of pope's in general but I have to say that so far, this one, seems like a really decent human being. There's a few more things I'd like him to get round to but I have some hope for this one.

Didn't the Vatican refute his proclamation though? I thought I read where they issued a "clarification" which insinuated that without faith in God & Jesus one wouldn't get to heaven, or something. Takes balls for the Vatican to refute what an "infallible" pope says.
