Not a big fan of pope's in general but I have to say that so far, this one, seems like a really decent human being. There's a few more things I'd like him to get round to but I have some hope for this one.

Yeah - of course by all accounts Capt. Smith of the Titanic was a well-respected captain, too.
If the ship is built like shit - it almost doesn't matter.

Didn't the Vatican refute his proclamation though? I thought I read where they issued a "clarification" which insinuated that without faith in God & Jesus one wouldn't get to heaven, or something. Takes balls for the Vatican to refute what an "infallible" pope says.
