Yet it is you coming in here spreading biblespam and playing the martyr card upon being called out on it.

Tell you what, I'll make you a deal. Your pet god wants to save us so badly? You get it to post here and convince us by itself, ok? Tell it we want the organ grinder, not his monkey. I promise here and now that I'll listen.

You'll take the monkey, and you'll like it. Now dance, heathen!

I can go into a church and take a shit in a pew. Nobody has to acknowledge my poop.

Metaphorically-speaking (and it's not a loose metaphor, trust me), that is what you're doing here.

That high-fibre diet's working, then?
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

You've said a number of times that you feel I'm speaking past people, yet you don't seem concerned when others are nasty towards me.

To answer your question, no, I wouldn't be receptive of what you had to say, even in the slightest, so far as it was to do with atheism. Yet I would treat you with sincere respect and if anyone amongst my group were to disrespect you, I would rebuke them.

Tell me something you fucking lying piece of garbage - If a Satanist walked into your church and politely told you that his Lord, Lucifer was going to punish all you jesus-worshipers and that you were all doomed to a place of torment would you treat him with respect?? Would you simply allow him to hang around in your pews, interrupting your preacher while simply quoting his satanic rhetoric without considering what you had to say? Would you treat him with "sincere respect" even though he openly admitted that he would not be receptive to a single thing you had to say?

FUCK YOU you god damn hypocrite!

You and your fellow christian fucktards would never tolerate what we have tolerated from you. You're a lying piece of shit and you better pray that your own god doesn't burn you in hell for showing us heathens your piss-poor excuse for a christian testimony.

You'll get my respect when you earn it ... and that is clearly never going to happen.

I know you don't see yourself that way, but all this "repent, ye sinners!" crap, especially to a bunch of people who don't believe in sin, makes it seem as though you're not interested in actually engaging with us. We've had so many people like you come in here, who don't see us as people, but rather targets to be preached at, and it's really hard to actually have a conversation with someone who won't even attempt to see things from our perspective.

I still have hope you may turn out differently.

Acknowledge? No. But then, if I came into your church, you could ignore me too. I'd still be there, though, and just like the church comparison, I can't ignore you either, because I'm a mod and I need to actually pay attention to what is being said around here.

But you still haven't answered the question: would you be receptive to what I had to say if I came into a specifically christian meeting place, spouted known falsehoods about what you believed to you, and then quoted a holy book that you don't believe in as justification?

Well I'll say it out loud that I certainly didn't come to this forum to make new friends. I came with the one intention of proclaiming the gospel. You've said a number of times that you feel I'm speaking past people, yet you don't seem concerned when others are nasty towards me.

Respect is earned, not given.

You haven't earned any here.

Coming onto an atheist forum, not to talk, not to reason, but to prosletise is the very height of hubris.

If I did this on a Christian forum, with the intention only to push atheism you would likely be the first to complain about it

So, let me say, from the heart of my bottom: Fuck Off. We don't want to hear it.
Dying to live, living to die.

Evolution is a fact. The Theory of Evolution is a theory. The one describes the other; they are not interchangeable.

Similarly, the Theory of Gravity describes the fact of gravitational attraction.

Good, then you can define the classification "kind" for us.

Yep; that's evolution.

How about a reptile evolving into a bird?

How convenient for you. The creator exists because the creation proves the creator exists. Now demonstrate that this creator is "God".

Reptiles evolved into birds, really? Based on what? If so why did some evolve and some didn't? Wouldn't of all reptiles of ceased to exist and there be just more birds? Who decides they stay a lizard and another will be a bird?

The Word of God attests that in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Please explain to me how gasses came from nothingness.

That's a remarkably low standard you set for yourself. Understandable, considering what you're peddling, though.

If one sinner repents there is a great celebration in heaven.

Sure, you would. The first time one of us told you about giving up your faith, and you said no, and we left, you'd be pretty nice about it.

Now, imagine that you had a hundred atheists coming to your home.

One after another.

Uninvited.

Yakking at you about atheism non-stop.

Telling you that you're evil and wicked.

Saying nothing you haven't heard a million times before.

Refusing to shut up after you made it absolutely clear you weren't interested the previous 99 times and remain unconvinced.

Refusing to take the hint that your presence is unwelcome and undesired.

I'm willing to venture that you'd feel about as inclined towards courtesy as we do, right now, to you, Christbot #100 or so.
