Alone, perhaps. The sad reality is that there are plenty of people out there who are racists and are obviously getting off on black people being gunned and choked down in the streets. You can tell who they are. They're the ones who yell SMALL GOVERNMENT out of one side of their mouths, while cheering on these appendages of BIG GOVERNMENT and starting fundraising drives for them when they gun down some "gangsta" or "thug".

Just for clarity, a homicide is just the killing of a human being by another, it has nothing to do with legality. A killing in self defense is a homicide too, as are accidental killings of one person by another. The coroner declared that because it's what happened. Coroners are not lawyers, judges or jury and don't have anything to do with that process. Too many people confuse the technical term homicide with murder because the terms are often interchanged with one another on television and in popular language.
That being said I'm fully for the cop being changed and thrown in prison for murder because that is what happened. Cops killing people will not stop until they realize they are not above the law when they are wearing a blue uniform.

I'm no longer sure who the "thugs" are.

The police in this country are not so powerful that we can't force change on their behavior if we don't like it.
Maybe they're not. Tell it to the families of Michael Brown, Eric Garner, Tamir Rice, Aiyana Jones, Samantha Ramsey, and hundreds more.
None of this is new Heywood and the videos haven't changed anything. When I was in highschool I was in advanced placement courses which meant I got to take college courses that counted as highschool and college credit. I took this course that was about law enforcement ethics. We discussed so many cases like this spread out across the years. It was sickening. Police beating mentally challenged people to death, shooting a diabetic to death because they thought he was high and might attack them, accidentally killing babies in raids, mistaking things like loaves of bread for weapons and killing the people holding them. If one thing is sure it's that videos alone won't change anything. Too many people don't care. Things will change when we all band together and demand that they do.

Part of the problem may be that most people believe this is a rare thing. With more video evidence going around the internet, more people will hopefully realize this is an epidemic, the police and prosecution won't be as able to hide behind their lies, and things will change. More protests will happen with greater frequency to the point where they have to change things before it turns into a civil war.
Either that or we'll just have to give in to the idea that the police can do whatever they want and our government is an oligarchy. If it takes another civil war to make a change, that's how it has to be.

Yeah - but honestly a bigger issue is that the white power structure doesn't give a rats' ass.

The sad reality is that the moment a tool is proposed to help police the police the left starts to scream, "What good will body camera's do". Its as if you want to cry about the problem but don't want to do anything about it.
If there is one thing I agree with Obama on, its that police should be required to wear body cameras.

Haha I'm not sure I would be approved to move in as a resident considering the whole single mom not much money thing :p
I would like to go though. Seems like Germany is more aligned with my political stances. Then there's always this thing...this feeling I can't shake. I'm not sure if it's real or just comes from the extreme amount of brainwashing we do on young kids, but I always feel like no matter how bad it gets here every other country is bound to be worse. The only thing I'm sure I don't like about Germany is too much censorship. I'm not a fan of that.
