So your saying a god exists and you choose to follow his teachings and your not hunting me because god doesn't want you to...? I'm pretty sure there is some big exceptions to that your suppose to convince me if that doesn't work uses violence if that still doesn't work you are supposed to kill me because i am a godless heathen in your world view. I'm pretty sure hunting a squirrel would be a easy challenge but i wouldn't do it i happen to like squirrels. Hunting a tiger that would be a challenge.

No,No and No, I forget you do not understand a joke. It's a joke son.

Gotcha still Zeus is better.
Even the Japanese thunder god Raijin(or Raidin if you play mortal kombat).

No, no and No. Evidence for evolution is a plenty so you've not really been looking. As for 'believing something made up by a man' well the irony in your cup runneth over.

With all respect, and as I said before, my opinion is that those folk that believe that angels had sex with giants, god created man out of dust and virgin births, should not be taken seriously in any scientific discussion as your pre-conceptions deny any evidence before you even open your mouth.

Stick to your fairy tale book by all means but don't ever think that your opinion on evolutionary theory is ever listened to.

Oh and the words 'christian' and 'scientist' don't really belong in the same sentence together.

Quote:Christian Science is a set of beliefs and practices belonging to the metaphysical family of new religious movements. It was developed in 19th-century New England by Mary Baker Eddy (1821–1910), who argued in her book Science and Health (1875) that sickness is an illusion that can be corrected by prayer alone.

Yes quite, the 2 words still don't belong together as Mary Eddy very well demonstrates.

I know several Christian scientist that would like to have a discussion with you, you wouldn't fair well, some border on genius.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

They may well have debating skills and knowledge far greater than my modest ability but that doesn't change anything. If a 'christian biologist' dismisses evidence of evolution because it contradicts their belief that man was created from dust then they have no place in any real scientific discussion whatsoever.

Same goes for christian geologists (whatever that might mean) who go to extreme trouble to formulate bizarre explanations to refute fossil evidence so that it doesn't interfere with their pre-position of a 6000 year old earth.

Invite your genius friends along and let them loose on the forum, I don't have the skill to debate them properly but there are plenty here who do and would relish the challenge I suspect.

Sure, someone can be amazingly clever and have the most outrageously good critical thinking skills. But if they are also religious, they are not using those skills in all areas. And once the brain has to force in beliefs which contradict reality and science, that's where you get problems, innate bias and cognitive dissidence.

Religion is not scientific, hence the weasel word "faith". It's the very opposite of science, and if you allow that in, you're compromised.

Nevertheless, if someone wants to disprove evolution, all they have to do is present their evidence and collect massive critical acclaim. However, if they refuse to, or present biased bullshit, then there's nothing to be done.

Sadly I can name someone, the father of a very close friend, who matches your description. A "Christian scientist" who borders on genius. I myself wouldn't fair well against him. But I sometimes wonder, were it not for Christianity would he easily cross that border?
I reject your reality and substitute my own!
