I said previously that I was replying to this comment not made by you.....
Quote: For there to be absolutely no racial bias in these killings, only 10-15% of police brutality victims should be black. It's far more than 15% going on the frequency of which we hear about it compared to whites being killed.
I'm saying there are other factors was in response to this person saying that if there was no racial bias the victims of police brutality should align with population sizes.
I then said I think there are other factors like rates of resisting arrest and overall crime rates and contact with the police that probably also contribute. You wouldn't expect asian and black rates of police brutality to totally align with their population sizes when one groups crime rate towers above the other therefore making one group have way more interaction with the police. Again I'm not saying the police should dish out more brutality, but just from the law of averages it's bound to make a contribution to the likelyhood of an act of brutality from the police the more contact someone has with them.
From what I can see Asians make up 5% of the population but they are 2% of all the police killings.
Which is the exact opposite of the statistics for black people. If the differences are just because of racial bias this means the police inherently love Asians, like white people, act fairly to hispanics, and dislike black people. That's if you ignore factors like crime rate and resisting arrest and focus on racial bias.
I agree that the police being prejudice is bad for minorities.
Congratulations, Captain Obvious. You've managed to convey that increased contact with police, results in increased risk of violent interactions, yet AGAIN. You must forgive me, though, for not being dazzled by your ability to state what's clearly understood by anyone from the age of 8 and up.
You've also managed to unlock another un-mystery in determining that racial bias isn't the sole cause of exchanges between blacks and law enforcement.
Excellent work, paulpablo; I'll bet you know exactly what happens to the little light in the refrigerator, once the door's closed.
Keep up the good work, friend. You're well on your way to making the connection, in eventually recognizing that police-instigated CONTACT as a result of profiling is in fact, a significant source of the INCREASED CONTACT. Perhaps then, you'll finally be able see why essentially discounting racial profiling, and offering "increased contact" as an alternate explanation for why blacks are more likely to be brutalized by police is just so fucking stupid.
At your current rate, I'd give it about 30 years or so.

#BlackLivesMatter is not a group, it never was. It's a group in the same way that the Occupy movement was a group. It's a very loose coalition of people who believe in the idea that #BlackLivesMatter. So, I would be a part of this group by this logic. However, it is certainly the case that Black Lives Matter sympathizers are not always the most racially tolerant or peaceable. Since BLM is not a group in the traditional sense of the word, there will be members of this 'group' that will believe and act in more extreme ways than others.
I certainly don't condone these police shootings, and I don't support those BLM people who resort to such extremist behavior. That said, I still hold to the view that #BlackLivesMatter. To say BLM is a hate group is a strawman because it isn't a 'group' in the first place.

Got any sources for that ?
Sources stating that police stopping others is actually a means of contact between those officers and said people?
You actually need a "source" for that?
Or are you asking for a source stating that racial profiling occurs as a common practice, and is thus significant?
If that's the case, I'd be happy to provide a few links.
Let me know.

Racial profiling combined with higher rates of crime among black people and lower rates of crime among Asians.

Some of that they're saying is backed up by sources. I would never use info wars as a source myself but if they use other sources then it seems to be more credible but not all of the facts they provided in that link are backed up by sources, these are two of the sources I find more credible.
And this source on the site which may be credible but it's from a book rather than just tables of statistics.

If someone else says to me that 2 plus 2 doesn't equal four, are you going to reply with this level of emotion and rage and call me captain obvious again if I say that actually 2 plus 2 does equal 4?
Everyone is nodding along and agreeing and patting each other on the back for noticing that the police have some racial prejudice against black people.
I'm saying also take into account the high level of black cop killers, the high levels of violent crime among black people in comparison to asians who are underrepresented in police killings. Doing this at the risk of being called a racist bigot which doesn't bother me much because most people on here possibly think that about me anyway.

Rage? Really?
I was going for condescension and sarcasm galore.
Do you find my "rage" threatening, paulpablo?
Are you beginning to fear for your safety, or perhaps your life?
Here's a doozy for you to toss around in that noggin, once you're through missing the point: 1 plus 3 also equals 4.
Try not to break anything.

Yeah, no one should ever quote infowars.com if they want to be taken seriously. As for the links you posted, I checked the second and third links and have no idea where you want me to look. Regarding the first link, it's a file that contains stats on homicides committed against and by various demographic groups. Ok, so how is this relevant exactly to the topic of this thread?
