Wonderful, you get to say horrible shit to people, and even if you suddenly realize that you've been a complete idiot...that's their problem?

No one should be hurt by one person's view. Just as I am not hurt by the majority of people here and their view that I am in delusion.
Many homosexuals are subject to hatred and violence. It sounds like most of them go through quite a period of angst as they go through puberty and struggle with the confusion of why they are different. Some are even rejected by their own families. You on the other hand, are a Muslim in the Middle East. So what if a bunch of people on the other side of the world think you're delusional? Even then, we don't hate you for it or wish to do violence to you or declare you should be punished. The two are not remotely the same.
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

Yeah! And I do often wish I had a vagina!
She's a hot model. Although I prefer the first picture.

Well On my knowledge:
1) If there is punishment, it certainly is not death.
2) The reasoning of a man and woman being punished for sex outside wedlock is not the same as that has consequences in form children being born out of wedlock and other problems.
3) The nature of the choice is not the same, it is more of psychological caving in type thing....so I don't think a punishment will cure that or help in any form.
4) In conclusion, I don't know, not sure, have to research more, can't apply apples to oranges.
I don't think you're a radical because sadly even moderate Islam is normally homophobic. Hell, even moderate Christianity is often homophobic. And moderate Islam is usually less moderate than moderate Christianity.
Atlas is the exception here. And I am extremely impressed by him accepting his own bisexuality as a Muslim.
I don't think you're a radical... but I do think you've gotten more into Islam as a way to cope with your illness... faith is a crutch for you. And what you really need is treatment and help... not faith.
And I think you're losing all the people who once considered you a friend, and I think you are saying a bunch of very homophobic and bigoted and hateful things because of your beliefs... and I think it's all very sad.

All those definitions and variants, and only one refers to the religious aspect. PICK THAT CHERRY, boi!
Indeed. He'll pick the cherries. He has to! He's a 'moderate' Christian... it's the only way he can avoid being a total fundie (although Neo has made it clear a few times he's still a homophobic asshole... which is common for religion in general. Including moderate Christianity. I wonder why more Christians avoid the bit about not eating shellfish?). His whole beliefs are undoubtedly fueled by confirmation bias. Pretty much by definition. If he didn't cherry pick the Bible he wouldn't be a moderate Christian.
So it's no surprise he takes that habit and applies it to dictionaries (and people's posts) too.

No one should be hurt by one person's view. Just as I am not hurt by the majority of people here and their view that I am in delusion.
If they truly know they are right, no one words of them being wrong will hurt them, and if they are confused, then perhaps the words are calling them to awaken and hence hurt.
I am not sure what stance regarding this issue I will take if I do leave my faith. And I don't know if I will leave my faith.
All I know is right down I am in conflict, do I truly believe Losty and others I know among friends, are evil, due to their sexual orientation? I feel like I have an intellectual stance that it is evil the sexual orientation, but, when it comes down to it, my heart is convinced otherwise.
So I have to see where the conflict is coming for, if rational, if for good reasons, etc.
But you did hurt people and the proper, considerate thing to do would be to apologize. Period. You owe those people that, at the very least.
Disclaimer: I am only responsible for what I say, not what you choose to understand.

So I have to see where the conflict is coming for, if rational, if for good reasons, etc. Personally I'm not hurt by your views... I'd rather you be here, mouthing off to me, than out there on any high rise buildings. I just accept what you say as a consequence of your fucked up religion, and agree with K on that; religion poisons everything, particularly your religion, or the extremists of your religion, if different.
Let me ask you something MK... does your soul searching and questioning over this issue equally apply to male homosexuals? Because it's by no means unheard of for male homophobes to apply a double standard about homosexuality where lesbians are concerned, simply as a result of their own attractions and lusts.

Follow your heart, I say. In all honesty. Losty, among others, are indeed lovely and the very opposite of evil.

Despite the hateful things you've said on this thread... when you say things like the above quoted... you show a kind of humility that many theists never show. I miss that from you.

Not sure how to digest that. I guess we'll wait for MK's response to Atlas.
I have a special place in my heart for Atlas
I grew up in a fanatical Christian environment. To question my bubbles’s teachings took a lot of courage and risk. I don’t think I’ll ever explain it well enough to serve it justice. To us, some of this guy’s ideas might be strange, and sometimes insulting, but in my point of view, he’s a guy who isn’t afraid to think for himself in a world where that can cause him turmoil. Of course, his environment isn’t similar to ours, so one shouldn’t expect his thinking to be exactly how we’d like it. At least he’s not afraid of making turns when all the road in front of him provides is straight lines. I don’t know what I’d believe if I had grown up surrounded by those teachings. I disagree on stuff he says a lot, but I have a soft spot for him.
I know I’m not a fan of religion and religious people, but when a person shows a bit of rebellion in them, when they show that they’re not afraid of letting a strange idea sit for a minute in their head to actually look at it, I respect that and I might make an exception. It’s when people are square that I’m unimpressed and sometimes even annoyed.
You get to that crossroad: either you obey without question, or say the "but...why?" sentence.
I'm sure you couldn't respect yourself if you just obey what the institution says and orders you to do blindly. Nothing is kind to you more than your own head. The monks, Imams and priests are in many numbers selfish and just use the mentalities of the believers as an asset to collect more.
Keep thinking
