Yes, yes, we know..you think that djinn reserve that right for themselves alone, almost as if we were somebody else's property...or something.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Even with the example in the OP, we already have debates over whether the death penalty is moral or not, regardless of the crime.
The way I see it, if you can't bear to live without your "honor", and you feel someone needs to die for it, the only life you have the right to take is your own. Leave other people alone.
Frankly; "honor" and "dignity" are in so many times are thought to be, and confused with "being hotheaded".
In the Middle East -for example-, the stereotype is to speak in your sister's name and act ape shit if you knew that she is having an affair -that is outside the laws of marriage-.
Japan -as an other example- had different "honor definition (Samurai codes are enough" that also mean the same thing: "be hotheaded, lose your temper, and call that "living up to morals of your ancestors: preserving your culture"-.
In all these cases; you call that shit "honor"; but that is not honor or dignity. That is you choosing to be hotheaded.
It's not "honor". It's "not being able to get over your heritage; and relax with a deep breath".

I don't believe that you do.
Well it's a very debatable subject that has gone on for a while, and will probably continue to go on for another while.

How about a speeding train full of NRA supporters and delegates on their way to a Republican party convention?
