You can clone someone...
April 4, 2018 at 2:07 pm
You have the ability to clone two people.
One is an historical figure of your choice.
The second, by some random law of the universe, has to be a member of the forum.
Who would you clone and why?
I'll give my answer later, once I've thought through my own question...

Jesus was a haploid. Not sure what happens if we try to clone Him.
Might get something untoward.

Hypothetically speaking, if it wasn't unethical:
Jesus
Mr CL
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Interesting.
I wonder what would happen to the divine plan if we cloned Jesus and the the real Jesus returned?
Or, do you think, clonong Jesus IS the way the return was always planned?
Brings to mind a Trek episode where Kahless returned...

My grandmother and as a clone, she never dies.
Historical figure? I like the idea of Jesus, and also Nietzsche. I have always thought his mind was crazy sexy. (Nietzsche’s)
