I would fault such a road intersection more on stupid road architecture, than particularly traffic laws and/or road sign placement. But whatcha gonna do? Change the road architecture? Gimme a break, I have vehicle insurance premiums to calculate based on statistical analysis of intersection-induced accidents. 
Just fucking change the road, somehow, and I suggest replacing it with a road roundabout, or something, based on the environment locality.

Driving away from your money seems like abandonment to me since you went to the ATM and pushed all the appropriate buttons to get money. The entire purpose of being at the ATM was to get money. But instead of taking the money you left.
I suggested it may be time for Brian to get some help with his ADHD as it's now costing him money.

I agree that Brian did a stupid thing by going off and leaving his cash behind, but that’s immaterial. Suppose he’d left the keys in a car with the engine running (another stupid thing to do). Is it really sensible to think that he’s abandoned the car and that it’s anyone’s for the taking?

Just trying to see where people draw the line at what constitutes a "pile" of money as Zilla described it.
I still think something to treat the scatter-brainedness is a good idea.
It's not about being a dumb ass...it's about not paying attention or maybe not being able to pay attention. There's help for that.

Great analogy. I agree. Yes, I did a stupid thing. But just like the car, no reasonable person would assume that it is ok to take the car because the keys were left in it. Money still hanging partially in the ATM is akin to leaving the keys in the ignition with the door unlocked.

Since when does being self deprecating a "problem". It's called having a sense of humor. If I had a problem, I would hate myself and kill myself over it. I have always had ADD issues. And I am a clutz as well. Not going to drive myself crazy trying to please everyone who thinks my problem is crippling, it isn't. It is simply me.
It is ok to have flaws and even joke about those flaws.

Now your ADD that you have said you enjoy is costing you money. It's a problem that there is help for.
