I agree that many blacks have an uphill battle, but why are we calling it a white supremacist status quo? Why are Jews and Asians doing better than whites if it simply comes down to white supremacy? Why do African immigrants do better than whites? Indians generally have darker skin that whites, don't they? Why is the government letting in so many non-white people to the point where whites are going to no longer by the majority? Not everything comes down to white supremacy. Yes, the rich get richer and the poor stay poor, but not everything comes down to skin colour. Does the government care about black people? Nope, but I don't think it's as simple as calling everything white supremacy.

Why do immigrants do better than native-born white people? The answer is shockingly simple: selection bias. If prospective immigrants who are already doing damn well have a higher chance of getting into America than those who aren’t, it really skews the results when we’re comparing them with native-born white people. If you’re a native-born white person, literally all you have to do is be born here and you’re automatically part of the group.

And for why Asians do so well, it’s a bit more complicated, but it can still be explained within the framework of systemic racism.

Also, is there a reason Jewish people don’t count as white in your framework? Are there any other groups that are generally perceived as white that you don’t consider so, perhaps Irishmen or Italians?

I already am. So far, it seems to be justified because the girl was overweight/afraid of cops/had bad parents/might have got hypothermia.

If these are the standards to be used, police departments are going to need a LOT more pepper spray.

As I mentioned before, if this is how the good and decent segment of our population thinks, if your comments are representative of a non racist demo that truly is concerned about police brutality - then we're fucked.

What percentage of Jews identify as white? I thought most of them don't consider themselves white, and I'm not going to put a label on them that they don't want. I'm part Irish and yes, I consider Irish to be white. Italians, sure. Armenians? Not really. When I see the Kardashians called white I don't really see it.

Yes taking money out of the police's bloated budget and actually using it to attack the causes of crime rather than the symptoms. Yeah, that will so not help black communities at all 

it ended up in chokeholds being banned (cops beating people with batons rather than using these holds which UFC fighters say are very safe and a far better alternative doesn't sound good for blacks to me)

This demonizaton of whites is only helping to create more white supremacists and further dividing the races. I want people of all races to get along, but BLM and the religion of Anti-racism are great recruiting tools for hate groups.

This is just a heap of strawmen and no one joined a hate group because anti-racists protested police brutality.

I use arguments that make sense to me. I'm not going to refrain from using an argument because some hateful person says things somewhat similar to justify their hate. If I think something is a good argument then I will use it, regardless of what other people are saying.

Why am I ok with being called a racist? I don't let names bother me. I don't like it when any race is being demonized, whether that's blacks, Asians, whites, or whoever, but being called a racist is what it is. I just shrug it off.
