Besides, the bible allows for the taking, usage and etc. of slaves, but does not specify from which people those slaves can be taken, so it can also be plausible for a black person to own a european slave.

I think he's talking about why the blacks are worshipping the religion of their former captives or something.
But the thing is, christianity does not belong to their former slavers or masters.
In fact, most came to America on spanish ships, I think, so they should have been catholic, whereas most are now(at least the ones in the US) are protestant.

Maybe what you were looking for is, "religion of children at birth is usually determined by the religion of their parents". "People rarely change religion throughout their lives." Actually that's highly arguable. Christian slavers often as not bough their slaves from Muslims. Slavery was a common feature of Islamic societies from the beginning of Islam and continued in some until well into the twentieth century.
